Short Deck is a 36-card poker format using cards from six through ace, with two hole cards per player. The smaller deck changes the combinations and some hand rankings.
Short Deck
starts at six.
Short Deck removes the twos, threes, fours and fives from a standard deck. The remaining 36 cards run from six through ace, in all four suits.
Each player has two hole cards and makes a five-card hand using the hole cards and community cards. The important differences are in the deck and the table’s hand rankings.

The low straight.
In Mavopoker’s current in-App rules, A–6–7–8–9 is the lowest straight. For example, A♠ 6♥ 7♣ 8♦ 9♠ form that five-card sequence.
Ranking differences.
The current rules place a flush above a full house, and a straight above three of a kind. These differences matter when comparing completed hands.
